Restlessness in E minor, Allegro agitato, 2/4: slurred groups of three sixteenth notes after a sixteenth rest in the right hand, each released on the rest, over short staccato chords in the left hand on the beats. In the coda (bars 25-29, forte) the left hand takes a line of quarter notes.
How to practise it
Every right-hand group starts after a sixteenth rest, so feel the rest on the beat and lift off after the third note. Loop bars 1-4 at 80 BPM until the rests sound even.
In bars 1-5 the left-hand chords are short and fall on the beats, exactly where the right hand rests. Listen that the two hands lock together and the chords stay p.
In the forte coda, bars 25-29, the right hand drops below middle C and the left hand walks in quarter notes. Practise these bars hands separately at 80 BPM before you join them.
