A slow lament in B minor whose melody lies in the left hand, like a cello, under soft repeated chords in the right hand; let the bass line sing and keep the right hand's chords even and quiet.
How to practise it
The tune is in your left hand, like a cello. Practise bars 1-4 with the left hand alone, then add the right hand's repeated Bs and chords softly.
In bar 7 the right hand plays a tune with 16ths and a grace note above its own soft chords, while the left hand keeps moving. Loop bars 7-8 at 30 BPM.
In bars 15-16 and 19-20 the left hand's tune runs down in four 16ths. Keep it smooth, and let the right hand's repeated notes stay quiet.
From bar 22 the music goes from pp to ppp in bar 25. Play the last bars as softly as you can while every note still sounds.
